£10 entry fee. Race from Hobbs Point to a mark past Lawrenny and race back again; again followed by a Barbecue in the Clubhouse

Wednesday evening talk - The Milford Waterway 

MARCH 27th

Dr Robert Llewellyn Davies. This talk will take you the length of the navigable Haven, from Blackpool Mill on the Eastern Cleddau, past Slebech Hall and Picton Castle down the Daugleddau exploring the many creeks and historic sites. We will travel up the Cresswell and Carew Rivers and back to Lawrenny to carry on with our journey passed Burton and under the Cleddau Bridge on the Milford Haven Waterway, pop into the Pembroke River and travel on down the lower Haven towards the open sea, passing Angle, Lindsway Bay, Watwick Bay to St Anne’s Head. Throughout the illustrated talk will be facts and figures about the waterway with plenty of photographs to help tell the story of this beautiful ‘Secret Waterway’.

Six nations internationals 

The Club is open for the two remaining Six Nations weekend games.

Saturday 9th March Wales face Scotland. Kick off 14.15 Bar open from 14.00

Followed by England v Italy at 16.45

Sunday 10th March Ireland v France Kick off 15.00

Then on Saturday 16th we have the three Final Matches on the same day

Italy v France at 12.20; Wales v Ireland at 14.45 and England v Scotland at 17.00

Situated on the south side of the Milford Haven waterway some nine miles from the open sea, PHYC  members enjoy cruising and racing of cruiser-yachts.

Local cruising grounds start within the haven and further include the picturesque Pembrokeshire coast whilst areas accessible within 24hrs range from South and East Irish coasts and West Wales to Devon and Cornwall.

The clubhouse offers all customary amenities including bar and social area with race control and spectating, whilst tender storage provides convenient direct access to a good slipway with deep water pontoon serving moorings administered by the club.  Currently the club administers winter storage and lifting at a nearby yard.

The sheltered waters of the extensive haven provide for racing options in almost all conditions.

Our club house is at Hobbs Point (just next to the slip there) and has a bar which is open at the following times (and at other times by arrangement):

  • ​Saturday and Sunday 4 - 7pm
  • Wednesday night in summer after racing (c. 8pm till 10:30ish)
  • Friday night 5pm - 8pm
