7 June 2010 Up River Race
Love it or hate it,
sailing upstream of the Cleddau Bridge is always a challenge, though
this year the north westerly wind made conditions as near ideal as
could be hoped for, and the race attracted 14 entries.

Sadly, missing what used
to be his favourite race of the season was long standing club member
Denzil Parry
who died last month at his holiday home in France. Before presenting the prizes after the race, Commodore Dennis Mitchell requested a moment's silence in memory of Denzil, and during the afternoon some members scattered floral tributes on the water at Hobbs Point.
Results were as follows -
IRC Class: 1st Inca, 2nd Enigmatic,
3rd Starlight; PY Class: 1st Adagio,
2nd Swansong, 3rd Ronor.
PHYC would like to thank
Stephen Badham Associates for their generous sponsorship of this
race.
